To our patients…

Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, we have adopted and followed the current CDC guidelines to protect both our Patients and Staff:

  1. Your temperature will be taken with an ear or forehead device upon checking in. A fever could indicate that you may be harboring an infection of the Coronavirus and may be unaware of your condition. The temperatures of our staff are also taken daily. Do not be upset if you are dismissed, for you may need medical attention that you are not aware of. The CDC is requesting that health care facilities provide this service at no charge for “the common good”.
  2. We ask you, kindly, to immediately wash your hands in our restroom upon arrival into our facility to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus into our facility. Please follow the posted directions in the restroom on how to properly perform thorough handwashing. Please also consider, for your protection and the protection of others, using a paper towel as a skin barrier while touching the sink and the bathroom door handle.
  3. The Doctor and Staff will be wearing disposable gowns, headgear, eye protection, and masks for all procedures, even for simple follow ups, exams, and bite adjustments. Do not be alarmed, this is for the protection of all.
  4. If you hear a Staff member cough, please be considerate. Some of our Staff have chronic asthma/sinus related issues which are controlled by medication and are not contagious.
  5. Please be advised that if you are an older adult, if you may be immunosuppressed, or if you may be susceptible to infection due to chemotherapy or medications, your treatment procedure may be postponed for your safety.
  6. Be reassured that our exam and treatment rooms are being disinfected in accordance to the recommended CDC cleaning procedures. Also, the rooms are being protected with disposable barriers and all instruments utilized in exams and treatment are steam autoclaved as per established CDC guidelines and are monitored by third party inspectors.

We will all get through this. Dental offices have been mandated for years to protect Patients and Staff against the transmission of pathogens. We all have been trained and updated to current standards. We begin every morning with a meeting to discuss casework and items of importance relating to current events. Please do not hesitate to ask us any questions and we thank you in advance for your cooperation in this time of heightened public health concerns.
